Investigational 
• Clinical trials of new treatment combinations, especially with radiation therapy and mitotane, are appropriate
  for some patients.

Stage III 
TNM T1-2, N1, M0 or T3, N0, M0 
The tumor has invaded outside the adrenal gland into fat but does not involve adjacent organs (T3), or the regional lymph nodes have become involved (N1).

Standard Treatment  The tumor is completely removed, along with any enlarged lymph nodes.

Five-Year Survival  20 percent 

Investigational 
• Radiation therapy if the tumor cannot be removed but remains localized .
• Chemotherapy with mitotane reduces hormone production and slows tumor growth and/or recurrence in some
  patients.
